He felt the low unsettle and hollow of kind that comes in dissonance from sin, when one senses and knows their soul apart and distancing from God.
He never found a way to make it better—never by himself.
Always, as he had learned through Church’s teaching and practice of the Sacrament—it required speaking with Another for absolution, atonement, and reconcile from the sin.
He spoke the sin to priest, and he felt its burden lessen. When spoken, acknowledged and seen for what it was—as with much of fear and shame we hide away, brought into light—dread and shadow died away.
He was contrite, repentant, and as loving Father toward His son—through medium of priest—he felt himself forgiven and still loved. Where he feared judgment, condemnation, and rebuke—he was shown only grace.
Unsettle of the dissonance departed. Spirit of peace restored, united and close again to Spirit and Source from which knowing, peace, and all-Creation comes.
