Reading and reflecting, he asked, “what about you? Do you struggle with that too?”
She smiled and dismissed, “Does it really matter which is what if you enjoy the thought when it’s there? Maybe the sometimes nonsense is all that keeps us sane. And maybe all is nonsense, until it isn’t; and you never know unless you give it thought.”
He laughed, replying in own airy rejection, “Nonsense,” with after-settling smile.
Her smile kept, eyes with weight of more than idle air.
She answered, “Maybe…maybe not…”
