THY WILL

THY WILL:
I read this passage today from “The Importance of Being Foolish,” by Brennan Manning. It made me stop and reflect about my own manifested tribulations sometimes mistaken for “spiritual growth.” Even when we’re growing, sometimes it’s still difficult to separate our own pride, desire for security (certainties), material happiness, and power to control our environments from the true designs and spirit of Something Higher.

After reflecting, I wrote something from my take: my own perceptions and experiences and hope I have to continue better serving the spirit of my faith. It’s not about ourselves; it’s about playing a part that helps grow the spirit of Something Greater in the lives and world around us. It’s selflessness and humility, not the pride and recognition that comes from credit.

Just trying to tie in some thoughts with a little Sunday reflection.
