We’re told our world is scary,
But—outside—it is not so.
The grass is green. There’s blooms on trees.
Spring is as it seems:
Sometimes cold, sometimes warm;
Sometimes clear, sometimes storms;
All aligned to God’s Design.
Fear not man’s alarums
For Truth, Good, and Life Anew
—like Spring—
Will soon break through.
We are holding to a winter
God has willed to past.
The cold, the sickness, all of it
Will not, much longer, last.
The whole world changes with a little light, a little warmth, and being witness to the world waking from its winter. On our farm, those days are here, and I love knowing how much different our world will seem in a few weeks when we get to rolling, corn starts breaking through, wheat takes off, and the pastures are tall with full spring growth again. The good days are here, and soon it all will show.
