A DIFFERENCE

Some people are different, and it doesn’t show until the fire—when you see the full of what’s within.  When others break, they smile, not of cruelty but with compassion.  They assure in doubt, strengthen in times of weakness.  When others fear, they are calm, steady, and in uncertainty around, others follow out of trust.
Their steady strength carries others through, and their spirit illuminates in flames that consume and destroy others.  War becomes a place of peace, for within it, they design order and effects in the chaos.
Then it goes.  The fire dies, and they depart, returning to a quiet world.  You would never know—looking at their same-shown equanimity—all that they can be.  Whether they miss the fire, you could never guess.  You would never even know that they were there.
But from them, in spite of all that you can’t see, you feel it: a difference.
