FULL SEEING

“And the Lord smelled a sweet savour, and said: I will no more curse the earth for the sake of man: for the imagination and thought of man’s heart are prone to evil from his youth: therefore I will no more destroy every living soul as I have done.  All the days of the earth, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, night and day, shall not cease.”[i]

Winter storm was through and passed.  Snow would soon be gone; and morning light shone in glory, golden path over wooden floor, pillared light of beam in suspend and sign in sky and air of room through spill of windowed front door frame.

She found him in the light, in seat and island rest as he read from a gold-paged book.  His eyes and attention rose from page soft hear of her footstep falls.

Silk of her morning gown in cover sheened in the morning light and made more vibrant and live pink hue of the silken fine.

Beholden, he could not look away though hand held place upon the page.

“What are you reading?” she posed.

He answered with smile and let of quiet laugh, meek in a soft embarrass.  For all the boldness that he showed, aware and returned to examen of the soul, humility restored.

“I’m reading the beginning, Genesis and the story of Noah.  I needed a little more God in my life and to not believe that I am damned.”

“What makes you believe you’d be?”

“Every want and desire and thought of late’s been anything but Godly…”

               She disagreed.

“Maybe you read them wrong.  Are your desires not of love?  And are their passion and their strength not evidence of the God-force and the love-presence they possess—even if you doubt them as lust.  I’ve known the one, and I’ve known the other; and yours is not the last.

               It’s more.

You’re a Creator, made to create—to make life and art in manifest of the Love and Spirit that you’ve been gifted.

               That isn’t ugly, and it’s not a sin.  It’s a gift—if you see and allow to be…”

She felt the warmth of sun upon her, warming to her back, and a seem of glow around in room as source continued in ascent of light.

“I’m a Creator too,” she spoke, speaking as she mused.  “I’m made to bear and bring forth whole of blessing into this living world.

But we need each other.  I need your part, and you need mine: love and spirit to make a One if blessing and life are ever to become.”

She moved to him, took hold of his hand from rest to page and led and guided to place, gentle pressed to her beneath cover of gown’s dress-fall; dewed and warmed like snow’s melt in the sun, warmed of her inner life-heat.

“Love me,” she whispered, knowing reason and why to his every passion, art, and dream.

She kissed his lips, warm and gentle, smooth surface wetted in prepare by soft tongue-purse.  With hold of her own, she pressed his hand firmer to her warmth; curl of his touch, and finger’s glide, gentle-smooth in find; her smile, her love, radiance in the sun as he raised her gown in full seeing of the Wonder and loved her in the Light.
