NEW WORD

        “I learned a new word the other day,” he shared.  “I learned it backwards—and I cheated.  I thought of a definition, description, and wondered what the word would be.  So I sought and found an answer.”

        “What made you search?” she asked.

        “Pictures of paintings of flowers that didn’t seem quite so.  It was close up, and detailed, and of the petals’ fold and lined arrange, I thought I saw—painted—something else.  

        I knew the word of another allusion-way and wondered if there was one for this.  I looked and learned there was.”

        “And what was the word?”

        “Yonic…” he answered cautious, measured, reticent in pause, “…Then again, they were probably only flowers…”
