“I enjoy talking to you. Your mind appeals to me.”—George Orwell
_____
It was by this a friendship became—affinity of two meek and mostly private souls who, by appeal of mind that attracted spirit, willed evermore to share.
Sharing, what each found and learned of one appealed evermore to other as little by little—then suddenly fast—the walls and guards they raised to greater world were lowered in private one they made.
Within this world, they were free to be: free to be awkward, free to be eccentric, free to have emotion, to overshare, emotion dump, to say what seemed to make no sense until after the non-sense spoke and—by the saying—meaning in was found. They were free to be their full of oddity concealed from most—afraid of being judged—unknowing oddities reside in near every soul aware, attuned, and acquainted with self.
From this friendship, a feeling came. From feeling came a kiss; from kiss—a touch; a share by sight unsaid in words both fully understood; heat of a blush that colored skin; a meekness again before after-bold—both willing to further give and share; keep and expand of the openness in which they were free to be.
Such was begin to a lifetime love beget of mind’s appeal.
