AFTER RAIN

After rain, sun restored and, too, their full of lovers’ glow.  Light’s fill of the room, flooding of home; all new-beauty in the brilliance.

They laughed.  They smiled, caressed in their touchings still; magic of the endless summer shared within their hearts.

Gold stream of the light, fall-catch in her hair; clothed stir of a wind that wasn’t there but blew in fan and spread as if it were from source and reason he knew not.

Scent of her body, soft fragrance of neck, embellished in presence—body’s warmth and the sun—that awakened whole of sense; her take of his hand, leading in guide, move through the flood-lit room; taste of her lips, taste of her scent in drifting kiss’ fall; warmth of her body, warmth of the sun—again—in eternal summer’s love.
