DREAM-WAKE

In warm rose-glow of waking sky, in gentleness of morning songs sounding from summer world, Anna woke from dream into another: to feel of his hand in take and hold, wrap of his underarm in curl over narrow of her waist, draw of her body back and in, close fitting into his; spoon of their bodies, closeness of match, light of his kisses onto open neck, hair fallen away behind and above, cool smooth of her skin left free.

               Waking.

Waking, gentle in glow of rose; tighten and tense of her body to feel until exhale, slow and whole, that freed from tension and strain; all opening into ease; raise of her knee beneath bedsheet’s cover, find of his high hand’s seek; over hip, thigh’s inner line, higher, higher, delicate to; deepen of his kiss, warmth of her skin under keeping’s place, her blood and heat in rising to; then move of its place, lower on neck into gift over shoulder’s crest; higher knee, deeper touch, his kisses still; all to pulse and rhythm of her woken breath.

Roll of her body from side to face, low’s raise and hold and both’s ready in meet and drive and match; low-bass knock of headboard to wall in rock and follow-through of way, her reach for and holding to; breath and set, low-knock again; rose hue of all in morning then; waking, waking, coming to; knocking’s speed and sharper of sound to her cycle of hips, rock and roll and strong back-press heighten of her feel; smooth of her body, flow-rhythm of all until her sudden still; face’s turn and brace to side, hands still forward in hold and bracing too; low-bass knock of headboard still as he kept and she felt her wave—knowing his soon—flutter and waver as she felt him then, return of her hips’ in restore of cycle as she kept him through into last-tremor of his all.

Dreamlight of the room, closed eyes and smiles, warmth of all rose-glowed.

Then wrap of her body once again, return to rest and spoon—rose of the room brighter than before as tone of her love-made skin.

Eyes in close, embraced and held, they returned to sleep, dream-visions in see, until waking again and dreamlight of the room rose-dawn was changed to lover’s blue of high-sun summer day.  In its bright, they loved again in strengthened way but ever as much a dream.
