LIGHTNESS

“What you produce is not always sacred…What is sacred is the time that you spend working on the project, and what that time does to expand your imagination, and what that expanded imagination does to transform your life.

The more lightly you can pass the time, the brighter your existence becomes.”—Elizabeth Gilbert, Big Magic

It didn’t always need to be deep—spiritual and transcendent.  It was enough to be enjoyment.  It was enough to be the pleasure that it was, the pleasure that it shared; given and received.

It wasn’t forced and chased transcendence: it was presence and intimacy in being.  Not making more, enjoying as and for what it was, they loved in a vigor and lightness of spirit that left brightness in room and selves.

In room of walls in romance hue, she rested at table’s edge.  White felt hat drawn low in half-cover of her eyes and top-crossed leg in cover of already heat—the only coverings she wore—she waited in playful smile as open body shone.

Winter white in sunlight bright falling through unguarded window-see, she was brilliant in body and spirit’s gleam and bared intention’s show.  The pale of her skin and sharp contrast of areola’s paint, focus of center, rising of ends, lovely in free of sun.

Lightness of laugh at surprise and catch of his eye that, after, never left.  His expression of shock becoming awe in leading to excite; her quiet of laugh and broaden of smile, pink of tongue in press to backs of opened teeth as he moved nearer to; fall of his face and the tease of her body has he sought to kiss to her open free; the twist of her body, laugh of her voice, in tease and denial just as his lips near-touched; the way that they played, continuing in way, until he took her strong in hold, whole grasping from above as mouth took strongly to her tip; change of the laugh, difference of sound, spirit and the feel; no longer tease, no longer denial—wanting caught, ceding when so—slow of her body and heart to focus of feel; soft of his lips to smooth of her, mouth-warmth in cover to bared skin’s cool; her changing to the warmth; take of his hand to second beside, enjoy of paired match-feel; attention of lips, one to other, before rising for her kiss; its first deep strong then lightness of play; fast, light tongue-flicker then spread of her smile as hands to her breasts lowed and drew uncross and open of her legs.  Front-raising of brim to white-felt hat, her eyes lit in with her energied smile—wanting and inviting, encouraging his on—light trace of his touch, stripe of her warmth as she worked his clothes and held his strong; return of their kiss, gentle in match, light, fast-flicker of each in playful way; break for seeing and trades smiles.

Move of his trace to sleek and heat, hands take to her strong behind drawn full to table’s edge, rise-bend of his press in catch between as she took hold to his shoulders and neck; align and find, huffed breath escapes to first strong and full deep give; sounds after breath, jolt of the meet; eyes opened—then again.

Wide and bright, unbreaking of eyes until fast flicker-light of tongues again; stronger speeding in rhythm meeting, her body’s liveliness to his.

Build-rising of sounds in force of their meet; fall of his face, high grasp of his hand, mouth heat to her end again as, low, they stayed in way.

Her feel of his change, knowing of near, tighter wrap of legs and hold around as tongue flicker-raced light and fast, flutter-feel within and sensing end.

Then strength of his pulse, breaking in free, rhythmic in her take; legs tighter, hold stronger, embracing full-receive.

Smiles in after, still in hold, they glowed in radiant love: levity and brightness transforming and expanding—enriching—all existence.

This way, they passed the winter day: warmed, brightened—lightened—in the love.

_____

All the day—in lightness and free—they moved in naked openness through whole of home; glow in smiles, glow in skin, radiant for again.

Bright of light in sunlight’s reflect off white, snow-covered world; all shone in a brilliance and perceive of heat in amidst hard winter-frozen world.

In kitchen-open, they made again; spin of her body, face-to-face-as he raised and widened leg; light race and speed of tongue-flickers again through first smooth, full, thrust-raise lift; hard take of her grip, tight-press of her breasts in close of hold to him; his guide and laying of her low, making then over rug of floor; tight of their bodies in close of pair then shift as he rose and her body curled; love’s sight in space between; rhythm’s match, strike-bounce of her body, her focus and eyes low-centered to feel; soft bite of her lip in take and brace wanting stronger and on; receiving, heightened, focused—lightened—into winter sunburst over floor: still in love, still in glow, radiant in day lightness.
