NOVEL BEGINNING

Emma was composed in warmth of an autumn love that took and beget as Life, making entry into world under announcement of Perseids’ star-fall and light of colored trails in sky-celestial rain from Heaven onto earth.

As with Bethlehem in history told, there are some souls born, modest and unannounced, by world that are heralded by show and sign from God and Heaven above.  Fantastic as it seems, Emma’s birth was so.

First-born child, Emma became the bond that held a young love close, growing and becoming into a greater more; the more that become and to bear blessings and joys that, before her, were unimagined and that, one day looking back, what we call in reverie of retrospect a beautiful life.

Of this, Emma could not see—and would not know—as is with all as children never seeing that our own presence, life, and existence becomes piece to parents’ purpose, love, and truest joys.  Such is the miracle of mutuality and reciprocation in blessing of God’s Creation in exchange and life-bond of Love.

Raised on humble homestead, place of her childhood was defined in the spread and slow scatter of buildings and structures that grow with generations, prosperity and lives that come to be: each addition building further mark and place and sign upon continuing and living past.

Like sweet clover shoots that grew in pastures surrounding, Emma grew fast and tall, long and lithe, with head of blonde hair hair much as the yellows and whites of the clover’s blooms; and like the clover and its roots, had gift about her that raised, made, and left after-richness from even the most common clays of life and human spirit surrounding and in which she grew and bloomed.

There was something in her nature that, all through life, left others feeling bettered by her presence.  Such may seem miraculous.  Perhaps it is, but to describe as so does not make fiction of the truth.  We have all met such souls in life-crossings and encounters.

To tell and say simply is to testify to Truth.

Throughout youth, like clover in the sun, Emma grew in rise, upward and onward, toward one-day bloom…
